MazeBolt provides proactive, AI-enhanced distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) resilience to global enterprises, protecting financial institutions, governments, and digital industries against attacks that impact business continuity and threaten critical online services.
Established in 2013, MazeBolt has been awarded patents for its continuous and nondisruptive DDoS testing technologies, which deliver complete attack surface visibility to identify vulnerabilities and misconfigurations before attackers can exploit them.
MazeBolt is excited to join forces with F5 as a founding Select partner in the F5 ADSP Partner Program, an alliance of strategic partners that extend the F5 Application Delivery and Security Platform (ADSP) to create a high-performance foundation that protects and manages applications at scale.
“MazeBolt and F5 offer customers powerful, fully automated, and continuously up-to-date DDoS protections.”
Together, MazeBolt and F5 provide customers with defenses against DDoS attacks with a joint solution that proactively discovers and remediates vulnerabilities before attackers can exploit them.
Always-on, nondisruptive DDoS protection
Because IT environments are dynamic, the DDoS attack surface is constantly changing, thanks to new applications, infrastructure updates, and configuration modifications, plus new human and AI-driven threat vectors that are constantly emerging. That means the effectiveness of DDoS protections must be constantly monitored, tested, and updated to provide complete mitigation.
But testing DDoS defenses usually demands manual interventions like red team or SLA benchmarking, requiring scheduled maintenance windows and downtime that are disruptive to critical workflows and often only test a small sample of the larger attack surface.
MazeBolt’s patented RADAR technology provides a nondisruptive DDoS testing solution that validates DDoS defenses by using AI to continuously run thousands of DDoS attack simulations against an organization’s live production environment. RADAR ensures full attack surface coverage by testing over 150 DDoS attack vectors, and human and AI-driven attacks including OSI layers 3, 4, and 7 and can be deployed on-premises to validate protections behind Service Protection Equipment (SPE) or a web application firewall (WAF).
The testing and validation take place completely in the background; RADAR requires zero operational downtime and no maintenance windows to run.
The testing allows organizations to validate the effectiveness of existing DDoS defenses in real time and to gain visibility into critical vulnerabilities; once RADAR identifies vulnerabilities or misconfigurations, it recommends and prioritizes remediations so security teams can close gaps before they are exploited. Continuous testing ensures controls remain effective, proactively preventing damage from DDoS attacks.
In addition, enterprises with large digital footprints will have DDoS attack surfaces with thousands of potential vulnerabilities, but not all threats are equal, and some may not require immediate mitigation. MazeBolt’s RADAR SmartCycle technology uses AI to prioritize the most urgent vulnerabilities by their potential business impact, allowing organizations to focus on vulnerabilities that pose the greatest risks.
Continuously improving DDoS defenses
Integrating MazeBolt technologies into F5 ADSP takes DDoS protections to a new level. Using the vulnerability intelligence data provided by RADAR, F5 security operations center (SOC) teams reconfigure and fine-tune F5’s DDoS mitigation solutions delivered through F5 Distributed Cloud Services. This allows MazeBolt and F5 to offer our customers powerful, fully automated, and continuously up-to-date DDoS protections.
The F5 and MazeBolt partnership is built on a shared commitment to providing customers with proactive defenses against evolving DDoS threats. By combining F5’s advanced DDoS mitigations with MazeBolt’s continuous, nondisruptive DDoS testing, we deliver real-time attack readiness with the most advanced and resilient DDoS protections available anywhere. Together, we help enterprises anticipate both AI-driven and traditional DDoS attacks to ensure business continuity, safeguard critical services, and maintain trusted digital experiences.
