Overview

F5 NGINX data plane products (collectively, the “NGINX Solutions”) covered in this privacy statement are the following:

• NGINX Plus - web server, load balancer, reverse proxy, API gateway, content cache
• NGINX Ingress Controller - Kubernetes Ingress Controller with NGINX Plus data plane
• NGINX Gateway Fabric - Kubernetes Gateway API implementation with NGINX data plane
• NGINX App Protect - WAF/DDoS protection module (works with NGINX Plus/Ingress Controller)

F5 also provides support, maintenance, and professional services for the NGINX Solutions (collectively the “Service”).

Roles of the parties

Under the data protection laws of the EU and similar jurisdictions, F5 is a processor of the customer data, and the customer is, or acts on behalf of, a controller of such data, to the extent it contains personal data.

Personal Data Processed by the Service

F5 does not process personal data through NGINX Solutions, with the exception of F5 NGINXaaS and F5 NGINX One, as described in their Privacy Statements. To the extent the Service processes personal data, this happens entirely within the customer’s network.
